Don’t become a monster to defeat a monster

Its like a deja vu when I heard news about the Mumbai attack. It was like 911 happening again, perhaps a smaller scale but over a longer time span. And like Sept 11, I heard the news while in army camp where getting updates about the world news is slow and painful.
And perhaps the Mumbai [...]

Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi – Close Your Eyes

Here is a beautiful soundtrack from the movie Otoko-tachi no Yamato (The Men of Yamato).
Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi – Close Your Eyes

No matter how
I would love this country madly
If I were born again
Please call my name
Even the night we shiver with cold
and that tears are streaming
If I were born once again
I’ll never let you go
Please return to [...]

OUT PRO LOR! (Out Processed aka end of reservist training)
Its a tough ICT for me. But somehow I feel that the training isn’t as xiong as the previous ones. It feels as if I’m getting older and can’t really take such training anymore. Starting to be worried about the next ICT which is expected to [...]

The Promised Pron

Dk is still serving his term reservist in the prison barracks.  A few of us were suppose to help him guest blog while he is serving his term.  I think one of our main objective is to at least keep or improve his visitor rates.  I think we may have caused his readership to plunge.  [...]

New additions to Tech 65

Eeeerrr….. This is actually some old news.

小学老师是在教人,不是在教大学生 (Primary School Teachers Are Teaching Humans, Not Undergrads)

In Singapore, there’s a bunch of primary school principals who support the notion of requiring each and every primary school teacher to have a degree.
A school head honcho was quoted saying: If the teacher’s diction and language ability are not good, the students will not learn anything from him.
WTF. What a joke.
I remembered my teachers [...]

Half time

It’s been a tough week. Not because the reservist was tougher than usual, but because the body is old. You really have to admit old when you return to bunk with a body ache after just 1 afternoon of outfield exercise. We used to have 3 days 2 nights outfield exercise during NS days without [...]

22 November

I was looking at the date while booking out today. 22 November seems like a familar date. Something happened on 22 November. But I couldn’t remember what.
While on my way home, I suddenly remember…. 22 November is the date that I got my driving license! It’s been 6 years already. Wow. I can still remember [...]
