okok… I know I am not doing a very good job of being a guest blogger, so I am to redeem myself. This time I will talk about… food! *grins*
I met up for a gathering with a few friends of my forum friends whom dk knows too while dk was away for his reservist. Obviously he wasn’t very thrilled to know that we had our once in a blue moon gathering while he was not available. :P
Ok.. Back to the topic… Food~! Yummy… We had our dinner at this Japanese restaurant called Santouka in The Central. Santouka is located in a ulu corner of The Central so it is not really easy to find. It is best to arrive there by 6.30pm if you are going there for dinner as the place is quite small and their tables will be filled up by around 7pm. Queues will be snaking outside the restaurant any time after 7.
Santouka is basically famous for their ramen. They have a few types of soup base namely shio (salted), shoyu (soya sauce) and miso. I had their Miso Ramen and I must say their ramen is definitely one of the better ones around. A must try from Santouka is probably Toroniku (pork cheeks). Their Toroniku is really tender and yummy.
The ramen here is worth a try if you have not try it yet. :)

It was a long day. We left camp for the range early in the morning. It’s just a simple familiarization shoot to remind us how to fire our weapons. It’s been 5 years since I last fired a live round. I’m glad I haven’t lose the skill yet. Managed to hit 16 out of 20 target. (I remember counting 17, but the system reflected only 16) We waited quite some time for the bo bo shooters to finish shooting. Good thing there is Ninja Van.
Afternoon is all on lesson. We are training to set up and tear down our equipments. Will be tested on this towards the end of the ICT. Still working on the timing and accuracy.

Almost overslept. Reached the camp just in time. But the in pro centre wasn’t ready yet. Some cocks up again. We waited for at least 20 minutes before we can start in pro. The in pro went smoothly. Scan IC, check uniform, hair and bags. We reach our bunk in no time. My bunk is at level 5 this time. Slightly better compared to level 6 last year.
We had a simple parade to mark the start of the ICT (In Camp Training). Follow by a short route march in the camp which seems more like a chit chatting session for us while scrolling. Then some weapon revision which I think we totally don’t need it at all. All of us can still remember how to operate our weapons.
Lunch is the usual western food that they serve on the 1st day. The first meal is always the best. Managed to grab a 20 minute nap before the next lesson. It was another revision lesson. The trainer know our PC from my NS unit. We gossip a bit about him. Seems like his bad name has been spreading wide and far. Heard he is still in the arm forces. Sigh. Why did the army keep such a useless fellow?
We had the legendary multi purpose fish during dinner. Yeap, the multi purpose fish is still in the menu. Will talk more about this multi purpose fish next time.
