LG and Prada release a new Prada phone and Prada Link
LG and Prada recently released a new Prada phone and Prada Link for asia market. The press conference was held in the high class hotel St Regis Singapore, a place fitting for a product like Prada.
The new Prada phone by LG looks very similar to the previous model until you slide out the Qwerty keypad. It has a 3 inch touch screen which seems pretty responsive. Although it’s more of a fashion phone, it does comes with all the features you would expect from a smartphone. HSDPA, WIFI, Bluetooth 2.0 and a 5MP camera with autofocus. Cool.
But the thing that got me excited is the Prada Link. Prada Link is a Bluetooth watch which allows you to view text message and incoming caller id without the need to take out your beautiful Prada phone from your beautiful Prada handbag. Wait, that doesn’t make sense. If you got a beautiful Prada phone in a beautiful Prada bag, wouldn’t you want to take it out whenever someone call or SMS you? Kidding kidding. Anyway, the Bluetooth watch looks just as beautiful. The interface is surprisingly easy. Top button for back, middle button for enter and bottom button to scroll. I got the hang of it even before the model standing next to me got a chance to explain it to me.

Looking forward to get my hands on the review unit.
Many thanks to Gavin Foo from XPR and Sabrina for the invite.

Any idea on the price?
Porsche released a handphone a few years back and it had a really cool design (but the price was just waaay over its head). Then again, we’re paying for the brandname.
