One year lor. This has got to be the longest toilet break ever.

One year ago, at this timing, Mas Selamat Kastari, leader of the Jemaah Islamiyah network, escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre. It was the largest manhunt in Singapore involving the police and army. Poster of him was scattered all over Singapore. The public wanted to help but can’t do much about it. Information of him were slowly released to the public as if its some viral marketing stunt. A Executive Summary of Committee of Inquiry (COI) was released to the public. Some head rolled. Other stayed even though there were calls for him to step down.

One year later, Mas Selamat is still out in the wild. Last month, our “beloved” Home Affairs Minister Wong Kan Seng told us where he might be.

He is in Singapore and hidden by sympathisers unknown to the authorities, or, two, he has fled the country.

In another word, he has no idea where is Mas Selamat. My friend said there is also chances that he could be standing 1 leg at Singapore border and the other leg at Malaysia border. But my friend isn’t paid million dollars like our Home Affairs Minister, so nobody listened to him.

So one year already. How?

“What to do, it’s happened.”

Indeed Sir, indeed….

PS: Some forumers suggest that we should all go toilet and flush the toilet bowl 21 times to remember this moment.
