WOW, I was quite surprised when I saw that rumor about Northwest CDC staff getting 8 months bonus. 8 months worth of bonus (inclusive of AWS) is a lot. That person must be a super worker who contributed a lot to the company. Except that it is not a company but a community development council run by the government.

I guess 8 months bonus can be justified if the person contribute greatly. But more justification need to be done during recession like now. Whatever it is, I think Northwest CDC and Dr Teo Ho Pin need to reply to the open letter.

Did Northwest CDC really give their staff (or staffs) 8 months AWS? If they did, what is the justification, especially when it is a recession now. If they didn’t, then please issue a statement so that this rumor will die. It is not good for the government and Northwest CDC to have such a rumor flying around the cyberspace. Something need to be done here.

This is a good opportunity for Dr Teo and Northwest CDC to engage the new media like what PM Lee said.
