The inverted ‘M’

OK, someone was saying my blog too serious lately. So must post something more light hearted to ease the tension.

I was at Ogilvy Center last week for The Open Room. It was a great event by the Ogilvy digital team (Tania, Brian & Patlaw). The speakers for the night are Yongfook, Arti Mulchand, Design Sojourn and Toysrevil.

Anyway, it’s not the first time I’ve been to Ogilvy Center. They have this nice area where they frequently use for events. I’ve been there at least 3 or 4 times already but I’ve never been to their restroom. So last week, I finally feel the urge to use the restroom while I was there. So I went to the area where the restroom are and was greeted by this door with an inverted ‘M’.

When I first saw the sign, I was thinking to myself “Wah ciao, this place so artistic. The ‘M’ sign for Male toilet also want to hang upside down. Pattern liao liao leh.” Just went I was about to enter the door with the inverted ‘M’, it suddenly came to me that inverted ‘M’ is ‘W’ and ‘W’ means Women. Oops. Luckily I haven’t open the door. And I found the door with the non-inverted ‘M’ down the corridor.

OK, I swear I’m not drunk. I only had 2 bottle of tiger beer. But they are very fresh tiger beer. Brewed 12 days ago. Shiok.
