30,000th spam caught

Submitted by on August 16, 2009 – 11:20 PMNo Comment | 2 views

One thing that never fails to amaze me is the amount of spam comment in my blog. Sometimes I can get up to 200 spams comment a day. Luckily for me, I’ve installed Akismet to catch the spams. But Akismet is not 100% fool proof. Sometimes it allows spam comments to get pass. Sometimes it mark real comment as spam. I still need to scroll thru the spam box to confirm that it didn’t mark real comments as spam.

Anyway, my blog has just reached 30,000th spam. Woohoo! (Wait…. what is there to celebrate? Haha)

Actually I wanted to approve the 30,000th spam and let it be on my blog. But on second thought, maybe not. Why give those spammers incentive? But for those curious, here is a screen shot of the spam that I usually get on my blog. The 30,000th spam happens to be those super duper long spam. And if you bother to read the spam, you will find that it doesn’t make any sense at all. Just one of those SEO spams.
