Joining the Singapore Daily team

I’ve been reading Singapore Daily for quite some time. Its a very useful site which aggregate local blogs based on the current affairs.

I’ve benefited quite a bit from Singapore Daily. From the interesting blogs that it recommends to directing lots of traffic to my blog when my blog entry is being listed there. So when the founder of Singapore Daily approached me last week and asked if I’m interested in joining them as a IT correspondent, I agreed without second thought.

It’s a good chance for me to give back to something that I’ve benefited from. And besides, there isn’t much extra work on my part. I’m always keeping track of the latest IT news. So all I need to do now is to consolidate them into one blog entry and publish it every Wednesday.

Do check out my first entry on Singapore Daily. I’ll be posting a new entry every Wednesday. If you have any interesting Tech related news, feel free to drop me an email.

Thank you for your support

Well, as expected, I didn’t win the Omy Singapore Blog Award again. But it’s great to be nominated again this year. It’s a great honor to see my blog URL being flashed on the screen with other great local blogs.

Thank you for your support.
Thank you for voting for me.
Thank you for reading my blog.

Thank you!

Tonight is the night

The OMY Singapore Blog Award results will be out tonight….. FINALLY. It’s been almost 3 months since the nominees were announced. Wow. It’s been that long already.

I doubt I will win. Just going there to have fun and meet fellow bloggers.

The results will be announced tonight at Supperclub. Check out the hashtag “#sba” or follow @omysg on twitter for live updates. There will be a after party at 10pm. Entrance fee to Supperclub is waived for those who said the secret password: “next generation“. House pour will be 1-for-1 all night long and Moet @ S$100 nett. Only for tonight hor. Let me know if you are coming.

Actually, I’m kinda nervous about tonight. Not because of the award. But I’m attending with a fashion critic. And you know lah, I have zero fashion sense.

RIP Patrick Swayze

When I was young, I had this fantasy of dancing with the girl of my dream in my school hall on the last day of school. Just like the final dance in Dirty Dancing between Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze.

Rest in Peace Patrick Swayze.

Patrick Swayze – She’s Like the Wind

She’s like the wind through my tree
She rides the night next to me
She leads me through moonlight
Only to burn me with the sun
She’s taken my heart
But she doesn’t know what she’s done

Feel her breath on my face
Her body close to me
Can’t look in her eyes
She’s out of my league
Just a fool to believe
I have anything she needs
She’s like the wind

I look in the mirror and all I see
Is a young old man with only a dream
Am I just fooling myself
That she’ll stop the pain
Living without her
I’d go insane

Feel her breath on my face
Her body close to me
Can’t look in her eyes
She’s out of my league
Just a fool to believe
I have anything she needs
She’s like the wind

Feel your breath on my face
Your body close to me
Can’t look in your eyes
You’re out of my league

Just a fool to believe
(Just a fool to believe)
She’s like the wind

Lenovo S10-2 Limited Edition Pop Art Design

I was at Comex last weekend when I saw the Lenovo booth selling this special edition Lenovo S10-2.

It is called the Pop Art design. The specs are exactly the same as the normal Lenovo S10-2. But the casing has some special prints on it. Looks kinda trendy and cool. I like the design on the keyboard and palm rest. Nicely done there, especially the area near the “ideapad” wording.

But not really suitable for me. More for the younger generation and the young at heart.

The Lenovo S10-2 Pop Art Design is available at S$729, S$30 more than the normal S10-2. Limited hor.
