Youreka Finale
I was invited to the Yahoo Singapore Youreka Finale 2 Saturday ago. Yahoo! Singapore held a party at the Singapore Flyers for all the color tickets holders.
Youreka is an online and offline digital treasure hunt that was launched by Yahoo! Singapore on 20 Oct 2009. During the contest period, prizes like limited edition Adidas goodies and movie tickets for the movie 2012 were given out to Yahoo! users who found the colored tickets on Yahoo! network. The finale was the showdown where 50 lucky contestant who found the purple ticket get to compete against each other for the grand prize, a Honda Jazz.
The 50 finalist have to run around Singapore Flyer in search of clue and the first 16 who return will proceed to the next round. Contestants have to go thru another 2 knockout rounds until just 2 contestant remaining.
For the final round, the 2 remaining contestant have to find the key to treasure box. Its not an easy task because the keys are placed in some sticky liquid. But hey, I’ll do anything for a Honda Jazz. Too bad I not taking part.
The winner of the Honda Jazz is Chong Wei (Hope I didn’t spell wrongly). Congrats man. I heard he is just 20 years old.
