Switching from Twitpic to Posterous

If you are following my Twitter, you would notice that I’ve recently switched from Twitpic to Posterous.

I started trying Posterous after Daniel told us that Posterous has a iPhone App call PicPosterous. I tried it and fell in love with it. Basically, it has almost everything I need for posting picture to my twitter account. Posterous will use the title for twitter message and put a link for my Twitter followers to check out the picture that I’ve just posted. It also allows me to type a longer description for the picture. I know a picture tells a thousand words, but sometimes I just want to add more words to make myself look long winded.

And the best part is that it also publishes the link to my facebook so that those on facebook but not on twitter won’t be left out. Cools huh? In fact, you can set Posterous to auto post to other social media sites like Flickr, Tumblr, Picasa, Blogger, WordPress etc etc. But I didn’t set it to auto post to my blog here.

So far, I’m loving the Posterous iPhone app. My only complaint is that the uploading can be slow sometimes. Let’s hope they boast their servers to cope with the large users base.

So from now on, I’ll be using deekay.posterous.com to post pictures while on the move.
