LG Launches INFINIA series TV

Submitted by on May 18, 2010 – 11:30 AMOne Comment | 12 views

LG recently launched their INFINIA series TV in Singapore. No prize for guessing that they are 3D TVs during the launch.

LG calls it BORDERLESS design. But before you start buying 9 55inch to form a huge screen, let me say that there is still a bezel at the side. But credits to LG for making the bezel small. The top range in the INFINIA series is the LX9500 which has 400Hz refresh rate. Looks impressive. But to be honest, I’m not a videophile and can’t really tell the difference between 100Hz, 200Hz and 400Hz. But I guess those videophile will appreciate more than I do.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about the LG INFINIA is the 3D glasses. As you all know, all active 3D glasses runs on battery. The 3D glasses by LG is rechargeable via USB port behind the TV. This is much better than other brands which are using non-rechargable batteries. I think you can save quite a bit in the long run.

The LX9500 and LX6500 comes bundled with 2 pairs of 3D glasses and Blu-Ray player and will be available from June 2010.
