Auld Lang Syne

Last blog entry for the year. It has become a tradition for me to look back and blog about how I feel about the year.

2010 is full of unexpected stuff. I wouldn’t have guessed that I would be doing all these things back in 31 December 2009 when I wrote my last entry for last year. For a start, I got a new job. And it’s totally not related to what I’ve studied. Speaking of education, I finally got that piece of degree. Which up till now I’m still wondering what should I do with it.

And like 2009, 2010 flew pass damn fast. It’s scary. They say time fly faster when you get older. I wonder why.

While looking back at 2010, I can’t help but wonder what 2011 will bring. I do believe in fate. And I do believe in the butterfly effect. So much that I believe my life will be completely different if I’m not sitting at Raffles City Starbucks now blogging on my laptop. If only there’s a save button in life so that you can reload and undo some stuff.

I still don’t know what will I be doing tonight. Maybe infront of my computer with a glass of ice cold Hoegaarden. Or at the crowded Marina Bay watching Fireworks. Let’s see where fate decides to bring me……

Happy 2011 everyone. And as always, I’ll end this blog post with the song Auld Lang Syne.

Dougie MacLean – Auld Lang Syne

Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
And days of auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

We twa hae run aboot the braes
And pull’d the gowans fine.
But we’ve wandered mony a weary foot,
Since days of auld lang syne.

And we twa hae paid’l’d in the burn,
Frae morning sun till dine,
But seas between us braid hae roared
Since days of auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet,
For days of auld lang syne.

And surely you’ll be your pint stoop,
And surely I’ll be mine;
And we’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

And ther’s a hand, my trusty fier’,
And gie’s a hand to thine;
And we’ll tak’ a right good willywaught,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.

For auld lang syne, my dear,
For auld lang syne,
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet,
For auld lang syne.
