Attention all BlackBerry PlayBook owners! The long awaited BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 is finally here.

You should be getting a notification on the top bar of your PlayBook prompting you that there is a new software update available. If you do not see that, go to settings, Software Updates and check for new updates. The update file is 398mb and you need to have at least 20% battery before update will commence. You should charge the PlayBook while upgrading.

The new BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 update includes the highly demanded native email, contacts and calendar apps. I haven’t had much time to explore what’s new on the BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.0 yet. Will blog more about it soon
