UK Folding Plug becomes a reality

Submitted by on February 25, 2012 – 4:25 PMNo Comment | 81 views

Remember the UK Folding Plug concept back in 2009? Well, it’s becoming a reality now. The UK Folding Plug will begin shipping in UK on 28 February 2012.

The Mu power plug save space when not in use by rotating the live and neutral pin out of the way, thus reducing the traditional plug size by over 70%.

But don’t get excited too quickly. Right now, only the USB Adapter version is available. Great for charging your smartphones. But you will need to wait if you intend to replace all your power plugs like Laptops and Tablet charger.

The Mu power plug retails at £25 and is available for pre-order now at the company’s website. It is quite a premium to pay for mobility. And they are only shipping it in the UK currently.

Anyone visiting the UK soon?
