People’s Association website hacked

The People’s Association (PA) website was hacked today morning. The site was replaced by a picture of a figure in a hoodie. I managed to get the image after someone posted it on PA’s Facebook page today morning at 10:26am.

North West Community Development Councils, North East CDC, South East CDC and South West CDC websites were also affected. The image has been taken down and replaced by a text saying that the website is “down for scheduled maintenance”.

According to People’s Association Facebook page, the website provides general information about PA’s organisation and programmes and is not a transactional website.

Mac OS X easter egg: Lord of the Rings timeline

Do you know that the Lord of Rings timeline can be found on your Mac? Simply go to the Terminal and type the following command.

cat /usr/share/calendar/calendar.lotr

You’ll see a list of dates for events happening in LOTR.

According to some reports, this easter egg has been around since 2003, the year The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King was released. Interestingly, it is only discovered recently, just in time for the release of the The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.
