Apple sold 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the first weekend

Apple announced that it has sold more than 10 million new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in just 3 days after the launch on 19 September. This is more than the 9 million iPhone 5s sold over the weekend. And they were only selling iPhone 6 in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.

Sales of iPhone 6 in China haven’t even started yet.

And the only thing that is stopping Apple from selling more than 10 million iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in the first weekend is the number of stock they have. The demand is way beyond the supply. All the telcos and Apple Authorised Resellers in Singapore are out of stock for iPhone 6 Plus and have very limited stock for iPhone 6.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus will be available in more than 20 additional countries tomorrow, 26 September.
