Singapore’s inaugural gaming convention, GameStart 2014 is finally here. Day 1 see huge crowd flocking to Suntec City Convention Centre Hall 403. In fact, the queue to enter GameStart 2014 started forming the night before even though the doors open at 12 noon.
One of the key highlight of GameStart 2014 is the hands-on previews for Bloodborne which is slated for release in 2015. I managed play for 10 minutes and I must say the graphics is amazing. Can’t wait for it to be released in 2015.
Producer for Bloodborne, Masaaki Yamagiwa, is also in town for GameStart 2014. Meet him at the main stage area at 2pm on Sunday for a Producer Session.
Another highlight for GameStart 2014 is the Retro gaming session. For older folks like me, this is a trip down memory lane. You get to see games like TMNT, Dragon Balls Z, Bomberman, Street Fighters 2 and many more. All the 8 bits and 16 bits gaming goodness from Nintendo, Super Famicom, Sega Megadrive and more.
And do check out Capcom Pro Tour Asia Series: Finals happening at the GameStart. Tomoaki Ayano (Street Fighter Producer) and Yoshinori Ono (Street Fighter Executive Producer) will be making a guest appearance at the competition.
GameStart is designed to appeal to everyone from hardcore gamers to casual gamers to cosplay enthusiasts. If you love gaming, do check out GameStart 2014. I’ll leave you with few more photos that I’ve taken on day 1.
