It is going to be another year before Star Wars Episode VII hit the big screen. But fans need not wait too long to catch some action from the Galaxy far far away. A brand new animated series called Star Wars Rebels is now showing on Disney Channel.
Set 14 years after Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and 5 years before Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, Star Wars Rebels takes place during an era when the Galactic Empire is securing its grip on the galaxy and hunting down the last of the Jedi Knights while a fledgling rebellion against the Empire is taking form.
The adventures focus on Ezra, a street-smart teenage boy who has joined a small band of rebels that engage in daring missions of sabotage and resistance against the Empire. Members of this rag-tag group of rebels include Kanan, a cowboy Jedi; Hera, an ace Twi’lek pilot; Sabine, a Mandalorian street artist who happens to be an explosives expert; Zeb, an agile fighter and the “muscle” of the group; and Chopper, the grumpy but good-hearted droid.
Star Wars Rebels will premiere as a one-hour Star Wars Rebels Special on Disney Channel on 4 October at 11am and on Disney XD on 5 October, 8am. The Special will usher in the series Star Wars Rebels beginning 29 November, 12pm on Disney Channel and 30 November, 8.30am on Disney XD.

I don’t remember how I end up sleeping on my bed last night. I was surfing net till late as usual. Then I decided to lie on my bed while playing some mobile games. Then next thing I knew, it’s morning.
I had a few bottles of Hoegaarden waiting in the fridge for me to celebrate another year of existence in this world. I guess that have to wait. Maybe it’s also good since I’m having some never ending cough for the past few weeks. (Wait…. come to think of it, maybe the beer will help cure the cough.)
And to make things worse, I woke up after 11am. Which means I missed my usual birthday ritual of having McDonalds breakfast. Damn.
Well, luckily there are places out there that serve all day breakfast. May not be the best all day breakfast I’ve tried but well, better than nothing. Sometimes you can’t have the best in the world. Just have to make do with what you have. Life is not perfect but you can make it better by not expecting everything to be perfect.
And most importantly, be thankful for what you have.
So cheers to 34. Doesn’t matter what drink I’m holding now. At least there is still a drink in my hand.
