The 3 local telcos in Singapore will be ending all 2G services with effect from 1 April 2017. This will apply to 2G voice, messaging and data services. According to IDA, there are 250,000 2G mobile users today. Singapore is not the first country to cease 2G services.
The spectrum currently used for 2G will be reused to provide faster, more advanced 3G and 4G services.
The ending of 2G services here in Singapore means that your old phones like Nokia 3310 and Motorola StarTAC will no longer be functioning after 1 April 2017. NSmen going back for reservist in non-camera phone camps might want to take note of this.

Have you ever send out an email but regret sending it few seconds later? Maybe it was a typo. Maybe you said too much. Maybe you wanted to say more things. Maybe it was send to the wrong person.
Well, Gmail is here to save you. Google is releasing its undo send feature to all Gmail users. This feature was originally under Google Labs.
Actually, it isn’t really undo send. Instead, what Gmail is doing is just delaying the sending out of your email. You can pre-define how long you want Gmail to hold back the email. Within this time limit, you can simply hit the undo send button and Gmail will cancel sending. If no response is received from you after the pre defined period, Gmail will send out the email.
Google is rolling out this feature to all Gmail users. You should be able to see it in the settings soon.
Good news to all Android phone users. Microsoft just released Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Android phone. The apps offer the same great touch-optimized Office experience currently available on Android tablets, but with a UI thoughtfully redesigned for a smaller screen.
You still get the familiar and consistent Office experience on your Android phone. The Office app combine the familiar look, feel and quality of Office with a touch-friendly experience. Documents open and render beautifully, with all formatting and content in the right place. Familiar navigation and menu options in the ribbon are placed at the bottom of the screen within reach of your thumbs so you can easily review and edit documents on your Android phone.
With the new apps, you can read, review, and make edits on-the-go. You can create, open, edit and save files in the cloud from your Android phone and access them anywhere and anytime. Use OneDrive, OneDrive for Business, Dropbox, Google Drive, Box or SharePoint. The choice is yours.
Just like Office for iOS and Android tablet, the core viewing, creating and editing experience is available for free. With an Office 365 subscription, users will be able to access subscription-only benefits such as more robust editing and authoring features, 1TB of OneDrive storage and 60 minutes of Skype unlimited worldwide calling per month.
