First ever Red Bull Night Hunt in Singapore

Red Bull Product of Europe is launching its inaugural Red Bull Night Hunt in Singapore this coming Friday.


The Red Bull Night Hunt will test participants on how well they know Singapore by challenging them to solve cryptic clues that will reveal the location of the items. Clue will be released on Friday night and participants will have 24 hours to solve each clue, racing through the night to find the location and to upload a photo on Instagram or Twitter. The person who submits the best photo each week gets to meet team driver Daniel Ricciardo on the Singapore Flyer during the week of the Singapore Grand Prix.

To enter, post your most creative shot of any of the five Red Bull Night Hunt installations on Instagram or Twitter, mention @redbullsg and hashtag #NightHuntSG. Winners will be chosen each week, and there are also runner-up rewards for other photos that catch the judges’ attention.

The first item will be released this coming Friday, 14 August 2015 at 6pm on A new clue will be released every Friday for the next 5 weeks. Winner for each week will be announced every Tuesday. Good luck!

Xiaomi announces ‘Make in India’ plans

Xiaomi announced yesterday that it will manufacture its devices locally in India, in a show of commitment to India’s Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative. Xiaomi revealed its ‘Make in India’ plans at a special event in Visakhapatnam, located in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

‘Make in India’ was launched by Shri Narendra Modi in September 2014 as a major national programme designed to facilitate investment, foster innovation, enhance skill development, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure.

Xiaomi has partnered with Foxconn to manufacture its smartphones in India. The factory is based in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The choice of location is strategic as Andhra Pradesh is known to have highly skilled technical manpower, an enterprising population and a dynamic emerging leadership.


The first Mi phone to be manufactured in India is Redmi 2 Prime, an enhanced version of Redmi 2 with 2GB RAM and 16GB Flash. Redmi 2 Prime features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 64-bit processor, 4G Dual SIM support, and a 4.7″ HD display.

The Redmi 2 Prime will be available for Rs. 6,999 (S$152) on and other partner sites (Flipkart, Amazon, and Snapdeal) starting 10 August.

National Day Parade 2015 sets new Twitter record for one-day event in Singapore

A new Twitter record for a one day event in Singapore was set yesterday as Singapore celebrate its 50th Birthday. Over 230,000 Tweets about #NDP2015 and all things related to the National Day Parade with a peak of 570 Tweets per minutes at around 8:30pm.

The Tweets about National Day Parade includes nostalgic and humorous views of Singapore’s development over the past 50 years, amazing and funny highlights of NDP 2015, and well-wishes from Singaporean leaders and influencers.


Previous Twitter record for one-day event in Singapore was over 100,000 Tweets for the One Direction concert on 11 March 2015.

The Proclamation of Singapore

WHEREAS it is the inalienable right of a people to be free and independent.

AND WHEREAS Malaysia was established on the 16th day of September, 1963, by a federation of existing states of the Federation of Malaya and the States of Sabah, Sarawak and Singapore into one independent and sovereign nation.

AND WHEREAS it was also agreed by the parties to the said Agreement that, upon the separation of Singapore from Malaysia, the Government of Malaysia shall relinquish its sovereignty and jurisdiction in respect of Singapore so that the said sovereignty and jurisdiction shall on such relinquishment vest in the Government of Singapore.

AND WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the ninth day of August in the year one thousand nine hundred and sixty-five the Prime Minister of Malaysia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj Ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah did proclaim and declare that Singapore shall on the ninth day of August in the year one thousand nine hundred and sixty-five cease to be a State of Malaysia and shall become an independent and sovereign state and nation separate from and independent of Malaysia and recognised as such by the Government of Malaysia.

Now I LEE KUAN YEW Prime Minister of Singapore, DO HEREBY PROCLAIM AND DECLARE on behalf of the people and the Government of Singapore that as from today the ninth day of August in the year one thousand nine hundred and sixty-five Singapore shall forever be a sovereign democratic and independent nation, founded upon the principles of liberty and justice and ever seeking the welfare and happiness of her people in a more just and equal society.
