Facebook just released a special Sticker set to celebrate Singapore’s 50th Birthday.
Named “Maju the Lion” these stickers are now available download in the Sticker Store. There are 16 different stickers featuring Maju the Lion expressing different local slang words such as Steady La, Shiok and Bo Jio.
In celebration of Singapore’s Golden Jubilee, Spotify has released its official SG50 playlist to mark this momentous occasion. To mark Singapore’s 50th Birthday, a group of LEGO bricks builders and volunteers came together to create 50 uniquely Singapore LEGO art installations. “The Little Red Brick” installation is part of an exhibition called “Past Forward: Hearts and Crafts”, held at the National Library.
Some of the mini LEGO replica includes the Singapore River, SBS Transit double-decker bus, Pinnacle@Duxton and old National Library.

In celebration of Singapore’s 50th Anniversary, the Fullerton Hotel has lined up a 9-day tribute to our nation’s journey that will see the hotel’s majestic façade illuminated at night with a visually and compelling musical extravaganza that recaptures the spirit of the Singapore’s rich history and heritage.
The 8-minute long video projection light-up, entitled “A Celebration of Our Heritage”, will offer glimpses of Singapore over the past 50 years, showcasing the various key moments that have taken place at the Fullerton Square, including scenes from the numerous election campaign rallies that took place during Singapore’s development years.
The video projection will take place on the evening from 1 to 9 August 2015. The hourly projection will start at 8pm till 10pm. An extra 11pm slot is scheduled on 1, 2, 8 and 9 August.
During the Jubilee Weekend, on 7th and 8th August, from 7.30pm, The Fullerton Hotel will also distribute complimentary kachang putih (roasted or sweetened peanuts or beans traditionally sold in paper cones) and potong ice cream (rectangular popsicles in local flavours such as red bean, yam and durian) at One Fullerton to add to the sense of nostalgia.
