The Beats Pill+ is slightly larger than the original Beats Pill speaker, allowing for a bigger and fuller sound. The stereo active 2-way crossover system creates an optimized sound field for dynamic range and clarity across all genres of music. Tweeter and woofer separation uses the same acoustic mechanics found in professional recording studios around the world.

Lightroom has been on Android for some time already. But Adobe recently updated the app to add some pretty neat features.

Some of the new features includes:
– An in-app camera, supporting the capture of images in DNG raw format
– Shoot-through presets, also available within the in-app camera, enabling previewing and capturing images with a series of built-in presets providing non-destructive editing
– Dehaze tool to adjust haze and fog in an image
– Split Toning enhancement, enabling the addition of a color cast to the highlights and shadows of an image, creating a uniquely stylized color image or replicating the look and feel of a traditional toned black and white image
– Target Adjustment Tool functionality in the Color/B&W editing tool, providing direct, on-image editing controls
– Point mode in Curve tool providing complete control over the tonality and contrast of an image

The Lightroom on Android 2.0 can be downloaded at the Google Play Store for free.

Rolling BB-8 on LEGO Ideas

We’ve seen many different version of BB-8 made using LEGO. But this one is different. It can actually roll on a single axis while keeping BB-8’s head on top. Check out the YouTube video.

Pretty amazing. In the BB-8, there are LEGO weights suspended from the central axle that bolster up 2 LEGO magnets. These magnets are held close to the top of the ball and attract the 2 magnet inside BB-8’s head. That’s how it managed to keep the BB-8’s head on top while rolling. Great design!

It also comes with a desert base station that uses a turn crank to demonstrate BB-8’s rolling ability.

So Happy Birthday DKSG! It’s been 8 years of blogging here. Sometimes I wonder if I’ll carry on blogging. I’ve been thinking quite a bit lately. Maybe its time to switch to video blogging instead. Lol. We’ll see.
