Starbucks Singapore just updated their iOS app recently to allow payment via the app.
To pay using the Starbucks app, you need to add your card to the app first. Then while queuing up to place the order, open the app and tap on Cards section. Choose the Card that you want to charge the payment and tap on Scan to pay. A QR code will appear. Simply flash that QR code against the scanner to pay. It’s that easy.
Now you can keep your Starbucks card in your wallet or even at home. All you need is the Starbucks iOS app.

Starbucks Coffee Company opened its 100th store in Singapore on Friday. Located at the iconic Fullerton Waterboat House, it is the biggest fully air-conditioned store in Singapore with a sitting capacity of 180. It also feature the first dedicated Starbucks Slow Bar Coffee Experience in Singapore using either one of the three manual brew methods: Coffee Press, Pour Over and Chemex.
The Fullerton Waterboat House Starbucks is also the first store in Singapore to collaborate with the Autism Resource Center (ARC) Employability and Employment Center (E2C) to train people with autism and equip them with skills necessary for purposeful employment. Through this collaboration, the store has hired six partners from ARC’s program as part of a long-term commitment to work with ARC to train people with autism and equip them with skills necessary for purposeful employment.
To celebrate this alliance and Starbuck’s commitment to give back to the local community, a community wall has been dedicated to raise the autism awareness and showcase the talents of people with autism. Two special Starbucks tumblers designed by a student at Pathlight School will be sold exclusively at the Starbucks 100th store with $5 from the sales of each tumbler going to fund the ARC’s efforts.
The Starbucks Fullerton Waterboat House store is open daily from 8am to 11 pm, with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight. The store is located at 3 Fullerton Road, Street Level, The Fullerton Waterboat House, Singapore 049215.
Starbucks Singapore raised a total of S$62,655.30 for The Salvation Army during the recent Open House. This is the highest amount in the 10 years partnership. A total of 29,411 cups of complimentary tall-sized Christmas beverage were given away at 98 Starbucks outlets nationwide.
It is also the first time Starbucks had Christmas Festival and mini-concerts featuring more than 20 local artists supported by Starbucks.
Starbucks and The Salvation Army will be celebrating their 10th year partnership at the annual Starbucks Christmas Open House this year. Get a free tall sized Starbucks beverage from 5 – 7pm on 5 December 2013 (Thursday) when you make a donation to The Salvation Army.
