Starbucks celebrates 20 years in Singapore yesterday. The first Starbucks opens its door on 14 December 1996 at Liat Tower. Singapore was the 3rd country outside North America to have a Starbucks Store.
To celebrate its 20th anniversary in Singapore, Starbucks is launching a limited edition local dot collection mug. Priced at $32.90 and includes a $10 Starbucks Card. Hurry, the mug is only available from 12 to 18 December 2016.
Coffee lovers, there is a new Starbucks Reserve Store in town. Starbucks Singapore just opened its 7th Reserve Store at Marina Bay Sands.
The Starbucks Reserve Store at MBS is also the first in Singapore to offer the rich coffee experience of the Siphon Brewing method. Coffee lovers will also be able to explore and sample other brewing methods with Starbucks Reserve Coffee such as the Clover brewer, the Chemex coffeemaker, the traditional Coffee Press and Pour-over, in addition to the usual hand-crafted coffee and tea beverages.
Do check out the new Starbucks Reserve Store at MBS. I must say that its the most beautiful Starbucks store in Singapore.
PS: It’s right outside the ice skating rink.
Good news to all coffee lovers. Starbucks is launching Cold Brew Coffee in Singapore.
Cold Brewing is another way to brew cold coffee. Cold Brew Blend coffee is freshly ground then combined with cold water and slowly steeped for more than 10 hours in a Toddy Brewer. Instead of using heat, Cold Brew Coffee uses time to extract the coffee. The resulting coffee is ultra-smooth and naturally sweet, perfect for those who like less acidity in their iced coffee.
PS: If you don’t like your coffee black, you can add milk to the Cold Brew Coffee like me.
The Starbucks Cold Brew retails from S$4.90 (tall-sized).
