When I made the decision to join politics in 2006, pay was not a key factor. Loss of privacy, public scrutiny on myself and my family and loss of personal time were. The disruption to my career was also an important consideration. I had some ground to believe that my family would not suffer a drastic change in the standard of living even though I experienced a drop in my income. So it is with this recent pay cut. If the balance is tilted further in the future, it will make it harder for any one considering political office.

My home desk is also considered my office desk. Since I can work from home if I want. And sometimes I prefer to work from home because I’m using a 20 inch iMac at home compared to a 14 inch laptop that runs stupid windows. (Luckily it’s a Thinkpad, else it would be worst)

You all should know that my home table is super duper messy one. I always post picture of my table before Spring Cleaning. Really want to see my table again? Don’t faint ok? Here goes….

Messy right? Not bad liao ok. It can get more messy than this. But it’s what I call an “organised” mess. I know where to get the things that I need. And I hate it when someone comes and pack up my table. Come on, it’s messy because it’s supposed to be like this.

Winner of ping.sg award 2007 most insightful blog. His blog is about his struggle on the road of an entrepreneur. I admire his courage to be an entrepreneur. And up to now, he is still anonymous. Nobody know who is he. Well, I respect his wish to be anonymous. In fact, I’m surprised that he managed to remain anonymous for so long.

Paddy Tan
Another very successful entrepreneur. His company has been doing pretty well and he has been hogging the major news agencies like CNN, CNBC, WSJ, Digital Life etc etc etc. YOZ! Give others a chance lah. Whoever say god is fair should look at Paddy. He got the looks, money and even iPhone! He even got a very pretty wife. Wah ciao. Why upstairs so unfair one?

mrbrown
Some call him the grandfather of Singapore blogging. He is a very talented writer. His blog entries are always funny and close to the heart. He managed to make fun of the political party and members without landing himself into trouble. He knew where to draw the line and he has been doing it well. Respect for this guy.

Popagandhi
A very sweet looking lady whom I’ve been following her blog for more than a year already. I admire her courage to backpack travel to places like India and Cambodia. Am glad that I finally got the chance to meet her face to face during village talk. Her speech that night was one of the best.

Ice Angel
I’ve been following her blog for quite some time. She is one of the 7 bloggers being attacked by that “famous blogger”. I admire her for her great blog template design. And after this incident, I admire the way she handle the whole issue. Can’t believe all these coming from a 17 year old gal. Respect.

Scott Adams (Dilbert)
Love his comic. The jokes in his comic are those “intelligent” jokes. You need to think about it for a while to really understand what is he talking about. And his blog is the same as his comic. Very funny.

Lancerlord
Some calls him “Lord of the links”. His blog is all about links. Links to other interesting stuff that he found on the web. Admire his abilities to find so many interesting things and catalog them in his blog. And hate him for showing me what is Desktop Tower Defence. I’m hooked on it now! Argh.

OEI…. very hard leh this tag. Singapore got so many good foods but I can only choose one to say. HOW CAN?? Like that not fair to the other good foods leh.

OK ok, if really die die can only choose one, I’ll choose Roti Prata. In Malaysia, they call it Roti Canai. But then, I can never pronounce that correctly.

I used to eat roti prata with eggs or plain. And in the past, I don’t use curry. Nowadays, I do take some curry and seldom go for plain Roti Prata or Roti Prata with eggs. I prefer those with cheese or mashroom in it. Or even better, the Special Cheese from the Roti Prata Store at Fong Seng. They have cheese, egg and mash potato. Love it. If you see me at fong seng, you can be sure that I’m having a special cheese prata.

I also got those instant roti prata from supermarket. Just heat it up and you have roti prata at the comfort of your home. The problem is, no curry, no fillings… just plain roti prata. Oh well… better than nothing right? (PS: I just had that for breakfast.)

My fave Roti Prata place has got to be the one at Fong Seng. I also like the store at Casuarina Road. And I love to drink Milo Dinosaur when eating my Prata.

I think the best symbol to represent me is the “Question Mark”.

Why the question mark? It is not because I ask a lot of questions.

I feel that the question mark symbol best represent me because I’m still an unknown factor. I still don’t know what exactly am I capable of doing. I’m still a question mark. But we are going to find out soon.

1. The first software that I open on my office PC is Outlook. I make sure that the outlook is always on the most left on my taskbar. If I accidently closed my outlook, I’ll close all my programs and turn on outlook again so that it will stay at the most left.

2. I don’t like to sit on those green sests on bus and the most corner seats on MRT. Those are seats reserved for people who need the seat. I usually don’t sit on those seats because I don’t want to be forever be on lookout for people who need the seat more than I do.

3. I like to push things to last minute. I am most productive when the deadline is closer. If the deadline is still far away, I’ll most likely be sitting on it.

4. I eat my fries plain. Usually don’t dip into any sauce unless it is Tar Tar sauce or Mayonese.

5. I used to eat alot of ricola blackcurrant at office. Can finish 3 boxes in a week. Now I cut down on Ricola and have a mixture of tibits.
