Imagine Peace

Today is John Lennon‘s birthday. I don’t really know him much because he passed away on the year I was born. I only know that he is a singer, a member of The Beatles, a song writer and most importantly, a peace activist. Don’t understand why would anyone want to kill him.

Yoko Ono, the widow of John Lennon, will reignite the Imagine Peace Tower later tonight to commemorate Lennon’s memory and the vision for world peace.
The Imagine Peace Tower, located off the coast of Reykjavík, Iceland, will be lighted every year from 9 October, Lennon’s birthday, through 8 December, the date he was shot. It is a memorial to John Lennon that consists of a tall “tower of light”, projected from a white stone well which has the words “Imagine Peace” carved into it in 24 languages.
Happy Birthday John Lennon. May your vision for world peace come true some day.

Imagine all the people, living life in peace

John Lennon – Imagine

Imagine there’s no Heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world
You may say that I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
