Its like a deja vu when I heard news about the Mumbai attack. It was like 911 happening again, perhaps a smaller scale but over a longer time span. And like Sept 11, I heard the news while in army camp where getting updates about the world news is slow and painful.
And perhaps the Mumbai attack brings terrorism closer to home. For the first time, a Singaporean was killed by terrorist. I don’t know Ms Lo Hwei Yen personally. But we are just separated by 2 degree. She is my cousin’s classmate in JC. My deepest condolence to her family.
Now that the attack is over, the question is, how should we react to this act of terrorism. I hope the authorities in India will act responsibly and wisely. I hope we don’t become a monster to defeat a monster like what we did after 911.
I would like to dedicate this song to those who lost their life in Mumbai last week.

Here is a beautiful soundtrack from the movie Otoko-tachi no Yamato (The Men of Yamato).
Tsuyoshi Nagabuchi – Close Your Eyes

No matter how
I would love this country madly
If I were born again
Please call my name
Even the night we shiver with cold
and that tears are streaming
If I were born once again
I’ll never let you go
Please return to my embrace
Let me hold this fearless courage of yours
Silently, soundlessly, the white flowers that blossoms at the seas
Now overlaps in heavy layers continuously over my body
Close your eyes Close your eyes
Then I could see your smile
Close your eyes Close your eyes
You who headed towards hope Your eternal life could exist
No matter how
I will bear it and come over
If I were born once again
I would like to call your name
After the evening scene at dusk sets
Tomorrow will definitely come again
If I were born once again
I would not give up the long wait
Please come back to my hold
Let me hold this fearless courage of yours
Silently, soundlessly, the white flowers that blossoms at the seas
Now overlaps in heavy layers continuously over my body
Close your eyes Close your eyes
Then I could see your smile
Close your eyes Close your eyes
You who headed towards hope Your eternal life could exist
Close your eyes
Close your eyes

OUT PRO LOR! (Out Processed aka end of reservist training)
Its a tough ICT for me. But somehow I feel that the training isn’t as xiong as the previous ones. It feels as if I’m getting older and can’t really take such training anymore. Starting to be worried about the next ICT which is expected to be a lot more xiong that this.
Lots of stories that I want to tell. But need to be careful not to cross the line and reveal things that aren’t supposed to be said in the public. I don’t want to be charged for blogging about restricted stuff.
And yes, some officer did told us briefly what we can blog/forum about on the internet.
We are not allow to reveal our unit’s capabilities. For example, if our unit is a heliborne unit, we are not allowed to said that. But we can say that we took helicopter from one place to another during exercise.
And we are not allowed to say the detailed specifications of the weapons we use. But these information are readily available on the internet.
I’m dead serious.
So without breaking any of the rules, I’ll post my story over the next few days. Yes yes, typical guy…. all we know is talk about army story. Haha.

Dk is still serving his term reservist in the prison barracks.  A few of us were suppose to help him guest blog while he is serving his term.  I think one of our main objective is to at least keep or improve his visitor rates.  I think we may have caused his readership to plunge.  He will be out on 29 November 2008.  It is time to bring out the big bomb!  Once it detonates, the readership sure shoots up!
Here it is, dear all readers, the promised pron!  It has blonde, hunk, or9y, phallic symbol, young girl in Japanese sailor school uniform
It is highly NSFW!  You have been warned!

Together with Daniel, Jerrick, NTT and Farinelli, we will create noise on the weekly 65bits podcast, blog on Tech65 blog and do some other top secret projects that can only be announced on the 100th episode. YES, Tech65 is reaching it’s 100th podcast soon. Woohoo!

Check out my first blog entry at Tech65. (Shameless plug)

In Singapore, there’s a bunch of primary school principals who support the notion of requiring each and every primary school teacher to have a degree.
A school head honcho was quoted saying: If the teacher’s diction and language ability are not good, the students will not learn anything from him.
WTF. What a joke.
I remembered my teachers who had taught me did not possess solid language foundation or speak Chinese or English very clearly. However, they did not give up on their students, never.
We can have a ton of good graduate teachers but getting a really good teacher is really hard to come by, especially in today’s “business-like” schools.
