Sony Ericsson announced the Xperia Arc at CES 2011

Sony Ericsson announced the Xperia Arc at CES 2011. The Xperia Arc is a super slim smartphone with the thinnest part being just 8.7mm. (125 x 63 x 8.7 mm) Weighs 117 grams and have a huge 4.2 inch Capacitive Reality Display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine. The screen is made with shatter proof sheet on scratch-resistant mineral glass.

This is the first Sony Ericsson phone on Android 2.3. Runs on a 1 GHz Qualcomm processor. 8.1 megapixel camera with f/2.4 lens. No joke! Aperture f/2.4. My pro-consumer camera only manage a f/2.8! The Xperia Arc comes with Sony Exmor R for mobile which allows unparalleled low-light photography and HD video recording. Built-in HDMI connector to connect to your TV.

No news on when will it be launching in Singapore. But definitely looking forward to holding it in my hands. Judging from the look and the material, I think it’s going to be something very comfortable to hold.
