Sakura Fest @ Singapore Flyer

Sakura Fest @ Singapore Flyer is a 3 day Japanese-themed festival, showcasing Japan’s culture in a fun way through arts, fashion, food, music, cosplay and games.
Highlights of the festival include “Live” J-pop and J-rock band performances, a cosplay competition, traditional Japanese games likes Himotsuri and Wanage, Wanko Soba Competition and more. Anime and manga fans can also get up-close and personal with their favourite characters and take photos with them.

There will also be a 4m tall traditional Japanese Yagura tower. This is possibly the tallest Yagura tower in Singapore. Every night from 7:30 – 8:30pm, popular Japanese cosplay idols Sunao Yoshikawa and Risuko Sasakama will perform Japanese pop and anime songs.
Singapore Flyer is working with the Singapore Red Cross to support a fund-raising drive for the Japanese earthquake and tsunami victims. More than 20 retail and food stalls at Sakura Fest @ Singapore Flyer have pledged a portion of their earnings to help the victims. Guests can also help to raise funds through a donation of $2 or more and pen their messages of support on a sakura sticker.
All proceedings collected will be donated to Singapore Red Cross for the Japan Disaster 2011 Relief Fund.
