Newstead Technologies “Bid to Give” notebooks auction for charity

Newstead Technologies is having an on-site auction for charity. Through its first-ever notebook auction open to the public, Newstead Technologies together with Microsoft Singapore, will donate all proceeds raised from the sale of 27 brand new notebooks to its adopted charity, The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund.
The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund is an annual community project that provides pocket money to children from low-income families to help them through school. The children can use this money to buy a meal during recess, pay for their bus fares or use it to meet their other schooling needs.

The charity auction, Bid to Give, will be held at The Main Atrium, Funan DigitaLife Mall on 5th and 6th May 2011, 6pm. (Registrations starts at 5pm) All bids will start at S$199.
The 2-day event is made possible by partners of Newstead Technologies which include leading notebook makers Acer, Asus, Dell, Fujitsu, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Panasonic, Samsung and Toshiba. Other partners include AMD, Blackberry, Brightpoint, ECS, HTC, Huawei, Ingram Micro and Jos Distribution. Microsoft Singapore is the lead sponsor for the charity drive.
In addition to Bid to Give, Newstead Technologies will also be donating $10 for every notebook sold and another $5 for every Microsoft Office 2010 purchased at its roadshow from 5th to 8th May and at Newstead Technologies’ outlets at IMM, City Square Mall, Suntec City and nex Mall from 9th to 15th May.
