HP Spectre XT

I had the opportunity to play with the HP Spectre XT recently at a HP event. The HP Spectre XT is a 13.3 inch UltraBook with a all metal design. It is just 1.45cm thick (or should I say thin) and weighs just 1.39kg.

Despite being thin, HP managed to squeeze in a Gigabit Ethernet port. It has 2 USB port, 1 of them is a USB 3.0. HDMI port, SD Card read and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Speaking of headphone jack, the HP Spectre XT features Beats Audio over quad speakers and via the headphone jack.

The best part about the HP Spectre XT is the bundled software. Usually I won’t bother much about the bundled software on laptops. But you have got to check this out. The HP Spectre comes with full versions of Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 and Adobe Premiere Elements 10. It’s not the full fledged Photoshop and Premiere but Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements are good enough for most home users. The two software would usually cost you around S$200 and they are bundled with the HP Spectre XT. That’s cool!

The HP Spectre XT is available in Singapore from June 2012 with a starting price of S$1,499.
