Lenovo Releases ThinkPad X131e Chromebook

There used to be only 2 options for those who wants to buy a Chromebook, Samsung or Acer. Well, I’m glad that Lenovo is joining the Chromebook world and releasing their first Chromebook, the ThinkPad X131e Chromebook.
As the name suggest, the Chromebook is a actually a ThinkPad X131e running Chrome OS instead Windows. It is a 11.6-inch laptop running Intel processor, 3 USB port, HDMI port and VGA port. The ThinkPad X131e Chromebook has rubber bumper around the top cover and stronger corners to protect the system in the case of an accidental drop. The hinges and hinge brackets are also strengthened to last more than 50,000 open and close cycles.
Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get the ThinkPad X131e Chromebook anytime soon. The ThinkPad X131e Chromebook will be available for institutional customers making volume bid starting 26 Febuary 2013. The rest of us can only pray that Lenovo release this to consumers soon.
