Lenovo A3000 Android Tablet

Lenovo is famous for their Thinkpads, laptops and desktop. But not a lot of people know that Lenovo also have an Android division that makes smartphones and tablets. And they are doing very well in China and other emerging markets.
Although we won’t be seeing any Lenovo Android smartphones in Singapore anytime soon, the Lenovo Android Tablet will be launching here next month. The Lenovo A3000 tablet will be available during COMEX happening from 5 to 8 September 2013.

The Lenovo A3000 is a 7 inch tablet (1024 x 600) running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. It has a Quad-Core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB LP-DDR2 RAM with 16GB internal storage and support up to 32GB microSD card. Weighs just 345 grams and 11mm thick. One interesting thing is that the Lenovo A3000 comes with Dual SIM card slot. Maybe not so useful in Singapore but definitely useful if you travel a lot. There’s no LTE/4G. The A3000 support up to HSPA+.

Honestly speaking, the Lenovo A3000 is just a normal 7 inch Tablet. Nothing fanciful about the specs. Just what you would expect from an Android Tablet nowadays. But perhaps the greatest feature is the price tag. Retailing at S$269 for the upcoming COMEX, Lenovo priced the A3000 at a very attractive range. So attractive that I have to double check to make sure that there isn’t an typo.

If you are looking for a budget Android tablet, the Lenovo A3000 is worth considering.
