No cars in Circular Road on Friday and Saturday evening

Circular Road is being convert to a part-time pedestrians-only road for a 3 months trial starting from 1 November 2013. Following on Government initiatives to make more streets in Singapore pedestrian-friendly, the closure of Circular Road aims to improve road safety for visitors to the area and reposition Boat Quay area as a vibrant destination.
During the 3 months trial, Circular Road will be closed to vehicular traffic on Friday and Saturday, 6pm to 1am.
The pedestrianisation plan aims to encourage footfall into the Boat Quay area, with the long-term aim of turning Circular Road into a high quality streetscape that makes the Boat Quay area more pleasant and easy to access for workers, residents and visitors.
