Thirty Years of Mac: 1.24.14 film

On 24 January 1984, Apple introduced the Macintosh. To commemorated the 30th anniversary of the Mac, Apple released an anniversary video that was recorded on the 24 January 2014 documenting people doing amazing things with Apple products. A total of 15 locations on 5 continents, all shot in a single day. From sunrise in Melbourne to nightfall in Los Angeles.

And the most amazing part of this video is the technology used behind the scene. The video was shot using iPhone 5s and video from each location was beamed in real time via satellite or cellular network to a command centre in Los Angeles. The director watches every scene as it was shot and direct all the action remotely via FaceTime. Over 70 hours of footage was shot on 100 iPhone 5s and edited using Mac.
Check out the behind the scene. Truly beautiful.
