ONE Fighting Championship: Honor and Glory is happening tonight. The blockbuster Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event will feature 9 bouts of non-stop action. The scheduled bout between Ji Xian and Thanh Vu has been cancelled after Ji Xian failed to make the required bantamweight limit last night during the weigh in.
Main event for the night is American wrestling legend and MMA superstar Ben “Funky” Askren vs Azerbaijani Combat Sambo World Champion Bakhtiyar Abbsov.
Ben Askren stated, “I am brimming with excitement at the opportunity to get back to competing! I cannot wait to get into the ONE FC cage. I’m going to look to finish him quick and there is nothing he can do to stop it. I want to stamp my mark in Asia and this will be my first step towards the ONE FC title!”
Bakhtiyar Abbasov stated, “I did not come all the way to Asia to be Ben Askren’s stepping stone. It’s a huge opportunity to face one of the most-talked about guys in the industry but I feel like I am prepared to prove to the world that I am the best welterweight on the planet.”
The live broadcast of ONE FC: Honor and Glory will air tonight (30 May 2014), 8.30pm on Star Sports (SingTel mio TV Ch 115). Follow hashtag #ONEFightNight on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for the latest updates.
A camera lost during a shipwreck off the west coast of Vancouver Island two years ago was found by students conducting research dives. The camera is no longer working but they managed to retrieve the photos from the SD Card. The date stamp for the last photo is on 31 July 2012.
Yes, the camera was in the ocean for 2 years and the SD Card is still working. With a little help of Social Media, they managed to find the owner of the camera and return the photos that they took 2 years ago. And in case you are wondering, the SD Card is a 8GB Lexar Platinum II.
This is not the first time someone found a camera in the ocean after some time and still able to retrieve the photos from the memory card.
