LEGO Oscar

The LEGO Movie wasn’t nominated for best animated feature. But that doesn’t mean LEGO can’t steal the show during the 87th Academy Awards ceremony. During the performance of Everything is Awesome, several LEGO Oscar statuettes were handed out to the celebrities at the Dolby Theater.
These LEGO Oscar statuettes were created by Nathan Sawaya, LEGO Certified Professional and artist behind The Art of the Brick exhibit.
It seems like the LEGO Oscar statuettes was a big hit among the celebrities.
It’s a pity that The LEGO Movie wasn’t even nominated for best animated feature. What was the Academy thinking? Anyway, Congrats to Big Hero 6 for winning best animated feature.
Update: Someone reversed engineered the LEGO Oscar statuettes and posted the instructions online. (Requires Lego Digital Designer to view)
