SEA Games 2015 cauldron

We are less than a month away from the 28th SEA Games. I was at the Sport Hub last weekend to check out the cauldron for the Games.
The cauldron is designed by DP Architects, the same firm that designed the Sports Hub and built by Kingsmen. The 19.2 metres tall structure is made of stainless steel and will have LED screen displaying information such as time and weather. There are 11 segments in the cauldron to represent the 11 participating nations.
The LPG gas powered flame is able to withstand torrential rain. The flame can go as high as 4 metres.
The 28th SEA Games flame will be transported across the Kallang Basin to the National Stadium during the Opening Ceremony. The Game Torch will be brought into the National Stadium by a number of torchbearers.
We still don’t know who will be the final Torch Bearer and how he or she will light the cauldron. I guess we will have to wait till 5 June to find out.
