The existing data centre, which came online in December 2013, is Google’s first data center in Southeast Asia and came online in December 2013.
This expansion will bring Google’s long term investment in the Singapore data centre to US$500 million. The new data centre, like the old one, will be one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly sites in Asia, using 100% recycled water for its critical operations.
