Christmas lights might slow down WiFi

We all know that there are many factors that might affect your WiFi performance. Thick walls, microwave oven, fish tank and many other things in the home can be an interference to the wireless signal.
But here’s something a lot of people didn’t expect: the Christmas lights. According to British telecoms watchdog Ofcom, electrical interference from Christmas lights decorations could affect your WiFi performance. Blinking lights are the worst offenders.
This is a seasonal issue with reports that ISP receiving a spike in complaints during the festive season.
So if your WiFi starts slowing down this holiday season, it might be your Christmas Tree that is causing it.
