If you follow my Instagram, you would know that I woke up pretty early on Valentine’s Day morning to visit Coney Island. I was there for a guided tour organised by Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) and NParks volunteers.
This half-day outdoor classroom session was designed for environmentally conscious groups and individuals who feel strongly about keeping Singapore environmentally sustainable, following the success of OBS’ largest inaugural public outdoor conservation class (Project IsLand-A-Hand) in November 2015.
The guided tour was followed by a focus group discussion session facilitated by OBS Instructors. More than 30 young outdoor enthusiasts engage in a lively discussion about practical ways to preserve the natural environment for future generations, in a SGfuture engagement session organised by Outward Bound Singapore.

Ghost Foundation is closing down all their operations in the UK and moving to Singapore. For the initiated, Ghost is a free and open source blogging platform designed to simplify the process of online publishing for individual bloggers as well as online publications. It was financed by a successful Kickstarter campaign and released its first version in October 2013.
The main reason for the move is due to the complicated tax system in UK. And Singapore was chosen because we have Stripe support, outside the EU and allow simple incorporation by non-residents.

Welcome to Singapore, Ghost Foundation!

Chingay 2016 will be happening on 19 and 20 February at the F1 Pit building. More than 8,000 colourful multi-cultural performers will take part in this year’s Chingay. The theme for this year’s Chingay is “Lights of Legacy, Brighter Singapore”. As the theme suggest, this will be the brightest ever Chingay with the biggest full scale illuminated show.
Besides local performers, there are also more than 800 foreign performers from China, Indonesia, Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan and Japan.
I managed to catch the Chingay 2015 few weeks ago during their rehearsal / NE Show. Here are some of the highlights you can expect from this year’s Chingay.
