Samsung is having a Galaxy Unpacked event on 11 February 2020, 11am. (12 Feb, 3am Singapore time)

There are rumours that Samsung will announce 4 phones at the event including a foldable phone. But unlike the Galaxy Fold which unfolds into a tablet, the new foldable phone will unfold to a normal-sized phone.

Netflix Singapore will be increasing their subscription price in Singapore. This come at the same time as GST for imported digital service.

Previously, consumers only need to pay the 7% GST for local digital service. To level the playing field, overseas digital service providers with yearly global turnover of more than $1 million and sell more than $100,000 worth of digital services to Singapore customers in a 12-month period are required to register for GST and charge GST to their customers.

Netflix will start charging the new price from 9 January 2020 onwards. All new pricing are inclusive of the 7% GST.

This is the first time Netflix increased their pricing in Singapore since launch in January 2016.
